52 Gun Giveaway for 2025 Plus 12 Guns of Christmas
The Sgt. Greg Meagher Memorial Gun Raffle is a raffle registered in the State of South Carolina that was created in memory of Sgt. Gregory Michael Meagher who lost is life in the line of duty on February 5, 2017 after succumbing to a liquid nitrogen exposure as he was attempting rescue a woman at a medical facility in Augusta, GA. Sgt. Meagher’s surviving family in partnership with several local Law Enforcement Officers who were friends of Sgt. Meagher created this raffle as a way to raise money to fund Georgia’s Post Critical Incident Seminar in 2018. By 2020, the State of Georgia fully funded the Post Critical Incident Seminar eliminating the need for the raffle to continue. Yet, Sgt. Meagher’s family and friends approached Support 1 to take over the raffle as a way to continue to memorialize their hero while assisting First Responders all over Georgia and South Carolina. One of the ways that Support 1 uses these funds is to fully pay for any First Responder needing assistance with travel, lodging, or other related fees associated to the Post Critical Incident Seminars held in Georgia and South Carolina.
The 8th Annual Sergeant Greg Meagher Memorial 52 Gun Raffle will begin ticket sales on March 22, 2025 with drawings beginning during Police Week in May of 2025. Drawings will occur weekly and several holidays and other special dates until all 52 guns have been drawn concluding on Thanksgiving Week 2025. Tickets are $75.00 each and are eligible for all of Sgt. Greg’s 52 Gun’s drawings even if you win with only 1000 tickets available for purchase. That’s right… Every Winning Ticket goes right back in! At the conclusion of Police Week 2025, an additional 500 tickets will become available online for a special drawing occurring during the month of December 2025 called the 12 Guns of Christmas. These tickets are only $25 and are eligible for all 12 Guns of Christmas drawings (just like Sgt. Greg’s 52 Guns) with only 500 tickets being sold. The link to purchase these online will only be live at the appropriate times in compliance to the South Carolina Raffle Law.
